Celebrities including actor Dean Cain and TV host Montel Williams will join in to raise money for the One Step Closer Foundation, which focuses on helping people with cerebral palsy.

Last year's winner, Sam Simon, creator of the Simpsons, donated all of his winnings to the charity and has said he will be returning to defend his title.

The original idea for the tournament came from Jacob Zalewski, a cerebral palsy sufferer.

He commented: "We hope to see a future where cerebral palsy is a thing of the past. We know we are getting one step closer to that vision everyday."

Among the top poker players taking part are 2006 WSOP main event champion Jamie Gold and double World Poker Tour titlist Barry Greenstein.
