Gus Hansen to take time out from poker
Gus Hansen, the only player to ever win four World Poker Tour events has announced that he will be taking time out from poker to work on his game.
Poker legend Gus Hansen has announced on his blog that he will be taking time out from the game to work on his skills. The Great Dane will be looking at his hand histories and re evaluating his game plan in the light of some major losses in 2009. It is estimated that Hansen has lost a grand total of $5.3 million (£3,307,607) this year. However, the sabbatical is not the end for the Full Tilt Poker Pro who has said he intends to return with a new and improved game in 2010. This could lead to Hansen becoming an even bigger name in the poker scene. He is already the only player to win four World Poker Tour titles and has claimed over $7 million in career tournament earnings. Hansen has had some highlights in 2009, finishing second in the 2009 season of Late Night Poker and reaching the final table at the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E event at the World Series.
