High 5 Casino comes with a very colourful design for the website and it is packing an outstanding collection of online slots from some of the biggest and best developers in the business. It also has some great bonuses that many casual players will appreciate since the extra money can really make the difference on the website. A trusted online casino in the UK, High 5 has managed to fly under the radar for a while but it should not be overlooked.

Bonuses of All Types and Sizes

High Five Casino

The main bonus that will stand out when visiting High 5 Casino for the first time is the offer for the first deposit. New players who make a payment of £20 will instantly receive a £35 bonus and so they can play with £55. This bonus must be wagered 40 times within 30 days in order to cash out the money and the winnings.

Before even making the first deposit however, there is a nice little no deposit bonus of £5 that will be awarded when signing up with the online casino. Although the wagering requirement is a bit high and players must bet the amount 99 times before withdrawing, it does make for a great way to get a real money feel of the casino without investing anything.

A reload bonus for the second deposit can be claimed with the High 5 Casino bonus code for 50% up to £500. The wagering requirement here is 20 times the total of the deposit and the bonus resulted from it.

For more bonuses, players have a daily offer of 20% on deposits of at least £10 so the free money just keeps coming.

Software Performance and Game Selection

Though we don't make a habit of judging books by their covers, we do like to be impressed by a casino's visual design. High 5's background is somewhat hit-or-miss in this area. Though many players will likely enjoy the dark neon colour scheme and slot machine imagery, others may find it unpleasant in comparison to clearer, brighter designs.

The main body of High 5 Casino is flashy, modern and enticing, and most sections are clearly laid out and easy to find. These sections are largely promotional rather than informative, which is a problem, but we'll get to that later.

In terms of the games themselves, High 5 provides a library that is for its part neatly arranged into clear categories. The games on offer come courtesy of a number of software developers, including giants such as NetEnt and IGT.

It's a shame, then, that High 5's game selection is overall a disappointment. Limited in size and lacking in diversity, there's simply not much to enjoy here. Though the 240 slot machines available aren't by any means bad games, they don't offer much in the way of variety, unlike the wide range in slots of superior casinos.

The table games and live casino facilities at High 5 are a little more promising. There are multiple variations on Classic Blackjack, Poker, Roulette and Baccarat, as well as a few more niche titles. Gamblers of a more traditional persuasion will likely be more satisfied by this collection, while those who favour slot machines may be due for disappointment at High 5.

Licensing and Security Matters Discussed

High Five Casino

It goes without saying that casinos should operate to the letter of the law, and High 5 does so. Licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, there can be little doubt that this is a legitimate casino, so players can gamble free from concerns about safety.

High 5 Casino is also accredited by GamCare, a respected organisation committed to maintaining social responsibility standards in casinos worldwide. This endorsement is not to be overlooked. A good relationship with GamCare, in the eyes of this reviewer, elevates a casino's legal status from satisfactory to excellent.

Live Dealer Casino Gaming by Evolution!

If you love the idea of gambling at a real casino table but hate the idea of actually going out, then Live Dealer casino gaming is definitely for you! High 5 have recently joined the ranks of top UK online casinos that now offer cutting edge live casino games on both desktop and mobile device platforms.

Currently, High 5 Casino's range of Live Dealer games are somewhat limited although all the standards one would expect at a live casino are certainly covered here. The best part is that High 5 Casino have chosen to go with Evolution Gaming to power their Live Dealer platform. Evolution Gaming happen to be one of the leading online casino software brands, particularly where live casino games are concerned. As it currently stands, you can enjoy Live Roulette, Live Blackjack, Live Baccarat and Live Poker at High 5 online casino.

Mobile Compatibility for Easy Access

High 5 Casino prides itself on its mobile support, describing its app as 'the best way to play online slots on the go'.

Available on both Android and Apple devices, it demonstrates a commendable consistency from High 5's design team. The deep purples and neon glow of the PC edition translate nicely to the mobile edition (though there appear to be some minor issues with screen resolution in the Android version).

While we tend to prefer mobile casinos that function in-browser for simplicity and efficiency, High 5 Mobile Casino is an example of how full-fledged apps can provide stylish interfaces and a smooth viewing experience. Touchscreen technology is an excellent vessel for exploring the casino, and High 5 makes an extra effort to present a polished website for their users, with additional 'levelling up' features to make things interesting.

However, ultimately their mobile casino is as lacking as their standard PC edition. There's a strange system in place where slot machine titles are locked unless bought with real money, removing the concept of fun play and frankly making the atmosphere of the casino a little less friendly. The app struggles from long loading times and occasional problems with lag and delays, rendering the smoothness when things do work properly a frustratingly rare experience.

It may not be the most sophisticated mobile casino on the market, but we're nevertheless glad it's offered. It's always good to see a casino giving its users the option to gamble away from their PCs, though it would be nice if this particular solution were a little more effective.

Promotions to Keep Players Coming Back

It's a casino's job to make players feel welcome, but High 5 Casino falls a little short on its first deposit bonus. On receipt of a £20 deposit, they offer an extra £35 to play with. Sure, it's better than nothing, but it's no great sum and it all simply feels somewhat bland in comparison to the flashier bonuses boasted by other casinos.

How to Bank at the Casino

High 5's payment options are inadequate. Disappointingly, the choices are entirely limited to standard debit and credit cards, with no e-wallet options available. Players can select from MasterCard/Maestro, and Visa/Visa Debit/Visa Electron. It's not difficult to observe the lack of diversity in this arrangement, and this severe limitation is likely to turn many players away from High 5.

Which seems a shame, because the casino's payout times are simply incredible. Every single payment option processes immediately, which is rare even among the most prestigious casinos, and what's more there are no sly charges to players' accounts as a result of withdrawing their winnings. As we like to see complete transparency in the casinos we review, this efficiency is hugely impressive to us, and manages to redeem some of High 5's unfortunate faults.

Customers Lack Help When Required

As we mentioned earlier in this review, High 5's interface focuses more on promotion than information, which is a problem when it comes to reviewing their customer support.

For a start, we appreciate a well-designed casino layout that clearly marks where customers can go if they require assistance. High 5 does not do this. Instead, they offer only four main headings at the top of the page - 'loyalty', 'games', 'jackpots', and 'promotions'. Only at the bottom of the page does the casino explain its policies, accreditation and other more informative sections, and even then in very little detail.

The FAQ section itself is also unashamedly lacking in depth. Only seven questions are asked and answered, and the spectrum of areas covered is limited in the extreme. High 5 also fails to provide a telephone number, asking users instead to contact them via e-mail at support@high5casino.com.

On the plus side, High 5 Casino offers a live chat service for users that need help fast. Though it's not the 24-hour system many more efficient casinos provide, it's nevertheless an accessible service open from early morning to late at night.

Our Final Marks

High 5 Casino has its ups and downs, but considering how greatly the scales tip more on one side of this equation than the other, we'd advise our users to seek faster, friendlier and better designed casinos. Sure some of the games here are fun to play, but the fact that there's limited free play allowed really turned us off the casino. With so much competition in the online casino niche, establishments are falling head over heels to appease customers.

One way of doing that is offering free games so players can enjoy gaming with no strings attached. On top of that, limited help when required is another cardinal sin for online casinos. That's why this casino didn't fare well in our overall review.
